The first sneaker collab between IUTER and SPECTRUM is out now, consisting of two pairs of Diadora N9002, a running model introduced by the brand in 1992, revised in the two variants "Giro" and "Tour" dedicated to the unique aesthetics of the great cycling of the 1990s.
IUTER and SPECTRUM, connected by a relationship of over 20 years and by a vocation towards counterculture, together with Diadora, celebrate the radical attitude of pirates. In Italy, the pirate evokes loud imagery outside the box. From the legendary 90s athletes to contemporary pirates without weapons and ships, up to the anarchic computer pirates, the pirate is a pop anti-hero, a revolutionary figure, and a symbol of movements and subcultures.
The N9002 “Giro” is almost entirely pink, with a mix of pigskin suede, full-grain leather, and mesh closed in technical nylon on the upper. The N9002 "Tour,” on the other hand, has a perforated leather toebox. Both colorways share several custom details: transparent sole with tribal print, IUTER and SPECTRUM logo on the left tongue, the pirate icon on the right one, printed insole, and contrasting lace tip.
The three-headed collaboration between IUTER, Diadora, and SPECTRUM also includes some IUTER apparel (made in Italy) made for the occasion: a white hooded track jacket in breathable and water-repellent fabric with tribal prints on the sleeves and embroidered logos on the chest; long sleeve pocket t-shirt with embroidery and tribal prints on the sleeves; pink cotton sport sock with red tribal.
