Radcliffe’s steel tube sculptures are minimal yet hugely evocative as they instantly conjure up the original vehicle in the viewer’s mind while simultaneously inspiring free and independent imagination. Shared values and legends converge around these totems of modernity.
Legendary is the only way to describe the Lancia Stratos, which enjoyed a long season of success in the 1970s rally world, thanks to the technological and stylistic innovations it introduced in those years and which have meant it remains a point of reference and cult vehicle for all enthusiasts even today. This encounter of Lancia history and tradition (which nonetheless maintain a constant eye on the future) and the reinterpretative vision (combined with craftsmanship and technology) of Radcliffe in a project promoted by IUTER is in fact a prequel to a drop that will soon see the same team involved in the creation of a capsule collection for the Milanese brand in collaboration with Lancia.
The piece presented on the evening of 21 June 2021 will remain on permanent display and can be visited by appointment at the Youth SRL Headquarters at Via Morimondo 26 in Milan.
