The work behind the creation of an artisanal object is always fascinating, especially in almost-2020 when 3D printers can spit out anything, even a gun, in seconds. Collaborating with Pleasures – Los Angeles was like going back in time: a master craftsperson sculpted our “Bowl Head” in clay, it was made into a mold and, finally, a hand-painted ceramic piece.
The IUTER x Pleasures “Bowl Head” is an incense holder, a trinket tray, or, for the truly hardcore, a mega anti-civilization ashtray. It is available now on iuter.com and pleasuresnow.com, as well as from IUTER Store Milan. Only 100 heads were created. The underside of the ceramic is printed with what is now our mantra for collaborations with the Los Angeles brand: “When you’re in Los Angeles, stay in Italy”.
