For the SS17 season, IUTER was inspired by the concept of the jungle in all its various nuances.
Some more symbolic – the jungle as a place in which to prevail, the only aim to survive and escape – and some more figurative, including Vietnam, camouflage and the animals and vegetation that populate this chaotic habitat. The jungle, symbol of pitfalls and danger, a place where nobody looks anybody in the eye.
The IUTER SS17 collection is defined by extensive use of embroi- dery on jackets, hoodies, shorts and trousers.
Military fabrics, a long-running theme for the brand, recall the souvenir jackets of American soldiers in Vietnam.
A solid range of graphics is in keeping with the collection concept. There are references to the ruling animals – the predators – and those who have adapted to their environment in order to avoid the tragic fate of any beast that cannot keep on top of the jungle food chain.
The entire collection is designed and produced at IUTER Production HQ in Cairate, Varese.
